Max Bygraves was one of Bermondsey's most popular and most familiar names of the post-war years. He cultivated his natural cockney talent to become one of the best loved London and British entertainers of all time. Max Bygraves may have died half a world away in Australia, but he never forgot his roots and his native Rotherhithe and Bermondsey will never forget him.
